One of the bigger ones Troy caught.

We ended the day on a double catch. It was perfect timing because we used the last two minnows for bait on these casts which was right before we were done.

Us reeling in our last two fish.

This was the biggest one of the day that weighed 3.25 lbs. The guide wanted this picture to put on his website.

My Channel Cat. The only one of the day. This is also considered a game fish.

Another big fish.

My Striper. Also the only one of the day. Troy might have had the biggest one but I had the most variety.

Troy's first fish of the day.

Beautiful lake shot.

I finally stumped Troy. Troy all ways know what I get him for a gift, but this year was different. I got him Sugarland tickets. 3 week ago I bought the tickets. I was going to give them to him on his birthday, because his B-day is right before the concert. Right after i got the tickets he started telling me that Sugarland was coming to town. He would not stop talking about it. I was afraid that he would try to buy the tickets himself. So he got them for father's day. He is the best dad for our daughter that I could have asked for. Kate loves him, and I love him too.

This is the Chat below the dam on Lanier.

We went and had a picnic at the park in town. Our timing was perfect because there was no one at the park until right before we left.

Troy teaching Kate how to skip rocks.

Find the spider in the rocks and the lizard on the tree in the bottom two pictures. This was some of the scenery on our hike around the lake.

This is Kate and Troy in Lake Lanier

This is the start of our day on Saturday. We went to lake Lanier. Kate got mad at Troy. I don't know why, but the face she was making was really cute.

Our Stake had a Luau at one of the bishop places. There was a lot of people there. I did not think the food was all that good. Troy got his food and looked at the meat, and there was still a clump of hair on it. He was done. We went to McDonald after we left. We left about 9 pm because that was all the fun I could handle.

This is finals week for Troy. He had a study group on Sunday. I was craving Better Than Anything Cake, so I took some cake down to them after I got a phone call from Troy saying "Yea, I would like to order 1 large Better than sex cake, delivered to Tree House. Approximately how long will that be?"

I have been doing really good about not eating sweets these last couple of weeks.
So today I decided that it would not hurt to have a piece because I was going to run while Kate was at gymnastics. I had the cake about 3 hours before I ran. We took Kate to gymnastics and Troy stayed with her. About half mile in I was thinking that I really did not feel so good. A mile into my run, I really did not feel good. It was a really good thing that I walked the last quarter of a mile because I think I would have lost my stomach. Morel of story: don't try to eat cake and run. Just eat cake.

Kate is really loving gymnastics. Troy got some pictures of her today. Here are some of them.

The picture of her laying on her stomach, she is watching some teenager with his shirt off. :( She wasn't even paying attention to her group.

Kate learned what fire ants were this last week. This picture doesn't really do justice to the wounds. We went for a walk last Sunday while Troy was studying and Kate went over the bridge before me. She walked in to a fire ant home, but only got bit twice before I got to her. She was ready to go home but now she is a lot more careful about where she walks.
